Geomatics Data Solutions employees have over 55 years combined experience working with multibeam echosounder sensors and data.  We have experience operating and processing data from shallow, medium and deep water systems from many manufacturers, including Reson, Simrad, SeaBeam and GeoAcoustics.  Our personnel are also proficient with deep water interferometric systems.

GDS owns and operates a Reson SeaBat T20-P with extended range.  Our system offers a maximum of 512 beams, mutiple detections within each beam and water column visualization.  The system also provides Reson's Flex-Mode and Real-Time Pipe Detection and Tracking.

GDS has the expertise to process data for any purpose, whether it be volume calculations for a critical dredging project, or full hydrographic processing meeting IHO standards, producing TPU for each sounding, along with attributed grids and S-57 files.

We can process data using traditional tide files, or are capable of processing inertially aided PPK (IAPPK) heights to the ellipsoid.  Ellipsoid heights can then be transferred to orthometric or tidal heights depending on your project needs. Ask us for advice on how to collect data to meet the accuracy specifications for your job.

Many multibeam sonars not only produce bathymetry, but are also capable of providing backscatter (snippet) data or even full water column information. Geomatics Data Solutions is capable of working with these data, using the latest software to produce backscatter mosaics of the seabed, and 3D points depicting features in the water column. In addition, we can use the bathymetry and backscatter imagery to provide value-added products, such as interpretation of the seabed geology or habitat, in either chart or GIS format.

Geomatics Data Solutions is equipped to handle large volume datasets and keep your valuable data secure.
